The Late Queen

NAGA

The Water Nation's Queen was once none other than Naga.

The dragoness was yet another wandering nomad to discover the shores of Nightwing. Upon settling, she and her pod gathered along with local tribes of water dragons to establish what would become the region in its full glory. The nation remained elusive in its early years, sparking mystery about the customs and scale of what lay under the water. The secretive air of the Water Nation meant it was one of the later factions to be added to Nightwing, starting with humble beginnings of forming connections with villages along the coasts.

As history shows, Naga's long years of ruling over the Water Nation temple led to peace and security for the inhabitants within its borders. Even as a civil war came to a rise with the dragons of the Earth regions, she held her seat in power until her final downfall: defending the temple grounds against Vulcan's strike. The dragoness gave her life in a final effort to shield her homeland. In the wake of Vulcan's final blast, she expanded and coiled her body to shield them from the incoming heat of the blast that landed just outside the walls.

Decades after the calamity, Naga's life essence and energy still emanates through the temple and village grounds along with the added warmth from the molten ground zero created by Vulcan.

There are rumors as to where Naga's immense power originated. Some theories and fables say it was a bestowed gift from the Ryujin, while others have wondered if she is a descendant. Some believe that the power source she harnesses is buried in the depths of the temple.
